Cable Supports 

Type S

• For supporting non-armored electrical cables in vertical conduit risers
• Use with all types of insulations at voltages to and including 600 Vac

Type D

• For supporting non-armored electrical cables in vertical conduit risers
• Retrofit type cable support can be installed after conductors are pulled and terminated
• Use with all types of insulations at voltages to and including 600 Vac

Type R

• For supporting non-armored electrical cables in vertical conduit risers
• Use with all types of insulation at all voltages
• Due to the possibility of magnetic induction heating, a single alternating current conductor should not be used in iron fittings

Type DR

• For supporting non-armored electrical cables in vertical conduit risers
• Retrofit type cable support can be installed after conductors are pulled and terminated
• Use with all types of insulation at all voltages
• Due to the possibility of magnetic induction heating, a single alternating current conductor should not be used in iron fittings

Type CMT

• To support non-armored electrical cables in vertical conduit risers, furnish a weatherproof seal and provide ventilation at the top of the conduit
• Use with all types of insulation at all voltages
• Due to the possibility of magnetic induction heating, a single alternating current conductor should not be used in iron fittings

Type V

• To support non-armored electrical cables in vertical conduit risers; furnishes a weatherproof seal and provides ventilation at the top of the conduit riser
• Use with all types of insulation at all voltages

Type C Compound

•  To support non-armored electrical cables in vertical conduit risers; furnishes a waterproof seal at the top of the conduit riser
• Use with all types of insulation at all voltages
• Due to the possibility of magnetic induction heating, a single alternating current conductor should not be used in iron fittings
• Type K Locking Style
• Use with all types of insulation at all voltages
• Due to the possibility of magnetic induction heating, a single alternating current conductor should not be used in iron fittings

Type M

• Use where there is insufficient room for a standard cable support inside a junction box
• Use with all types of insulation at all voltages
• Due to the possibility of magnetic induction heating, a single alternating current conductor should not be used in iron fittings

Type W

• Meets National Electrical Code requirements for intermediate supports at midpoints in vertical conduit risers
• Use with all types of insulation at all voltages

Type G

• Provides a compact means of attaching a grounding or bonding conductor to an O-Z/Gedney fitting

• dOZseal 220:
• Used in gasketed or threaded splice fittings and gasketed terminators
• Used in non-hazardous location with any cable having solid type insulation, such as paper, varnished cambric, rubber, butyl, cross-linked polyethylene, or high molecular weight polyethylene rated 34.5KV and below
• dOZseal 225:
• Used in gasketed or threaded splice fittings and gasketed terminators, when they are installed in hot climates or in hot exposures
• Used in non-hazardous location with cables having solid type insulation, such as paper, varnished cambric, rubber, and butyl rated 34.5KV and below
• dOZseal 230:
• Used in non-gasketed terminators or cable supports
• Used in non-hazardous location with any cable having solid type insulation

Type S

• Malleable or ductile iron body with hot dip galvanized finish (available in cast aluminum)
• Threaded for rigid conduit and IMC
• The fastest and easiest type cable support to install
• Knurled insulating inner surface and one piece impregnated hardwood pOZi-grip plug provide positive support well in excess of code requirements
• “Body Only” can be ordered separately for installation prior to wire pulling; “Plug Only” can be ordered later, once wires are in place
• If mounting on a non-metallic/non-grounded conduit, a Lay-In-Lug™ grounding lug should be mounted on cable support body
• For threadless rigid conduit, threadless IMC, or EMT, the body can be attached to the male threads of a set-screw or compression connector
• For PVC Conduit, use a PVC terminal adapter

 Type D

• Molded canvas Bakelite body halves, zinc plated steel band, stainless steel bolts and nuts
• Split body rests on existing bushing atop any conduit raceway
• The two halves of the body are placed around the cables, seated on the existing bushing and securely held together by the steel band set in a groove around the body; the plug is then wedged between the cables
• The tapered, knurled insulating inner body surface and pOZi-grip plug provide support well in excess of code requirements

Type R

• Malleable or ductile iron body with hot dip galvanized finish, canvas Bakelite pOZi-grip wedging plug
• Threaded for rigid conduit and IMC
• The pOZi-grip wedging plug exerts uniform pressure around the cable, providing holding force in excess of that required by code without deforming cable insulation
• “Body Only” can be ordered separately for installation prior to wire pulling; “Plug Only” can be ordered later, once wires are in place
• If mounting on a non-metallic/non-grounded conduit, a Lay-In-Lug™ grounding lug should be mounted on cable support body
• For threadless rigid conduit, threadless IMC, or EMT, the body can be attached to the male threads of a set-screw or compression connector

Type DR

Type CMT

• Malleable or ductile iron body with hot dip galvanized finish (cast aluminum bodies available), canvas Bakelite pOZi-grip wedging plug
• Threaded for rigid conduit and IMC
• Provides proper venting, allowing the temperature in a conduit riser to be reduced 15°F/–9.4°C to 20°F/–6.6°C
• “Body Only” can be ordered separately, for installation prior to wire pulling; “Plug Only” can be ordered later, once wires are in place
• If mounting on a non-metallic/non-grounded conduit, a Lay-In-Lug™ grounding lug should be mounted on cable support body
• For threadless rigid conduit, threadless IMC, or EMT, the body can be attached to the male threads of a set-screw or compression connector
• For PVC conduit, use a PVC terminal adapter

Type V

• Canvas Bakelite body and plug
• The temperature in a riser can be reduced 15°F/–9.4°C to 20°F/–6.6°C with proper venting. To obtain full effect of this decrease, the lower end of the conduit must be open or vented by use of the conduit ventilators.
• “Body Only” can be ordered separately, for installation prior to wire pulling; “Plug Only” can be ordered later, once wires are in place
• Body can also be mounted on EMT in trade sizes 2-1/2" through 4"

 Type C Compound 

• Malleable or ductile iron body with hot dip galvanized finish (also available in cast aluminum)
• Threaded for rigid conduit and IMC
• “Body Only” can be ordered separately for installation prior to wire pulling; “Plug Only” can be ordered later, once wires are in place
• If mounting on a non-metallic/non-grounded conduit, a Lay-In-Lug™ grounding lug should be mounted on cable support body
• For threadless rigid conduit, threadless IMC or EMT, the body can be attached to the male threads of a set-screw or compression connector
• For PVC conduit, use a PVC terminal adapter

Type M

• Malleable or ductile iron body and locking collar with hot dip galvanized finish (also available in cast aluminum)
• This fitting is similar to the Type “R” support, except that it is threaded at the top to allow fastening to a cabinet (1/4" max. thickness) with standard locknuts or threading into tapped (NPT) openings
• “Body Only” can be ordered separately for installation prior to wire pulling; “Plug Only” can be ordered later, once wires are in place
• If mounting on a non-metallic/non-grounded conduit, a Lay-In-Lug™ grounding lug should be mounted on cable support body
• For threadless rigid conduit, threadless IMC or EMT, the body can be attached to the male threads of a set-screw or compression connector
• For PVC conduit, use a PVC terminal adapter

Type W

• Malleable or ductile iron cable support body and pull box end fittings (also available in cast aluminum), steel oversize sleeve
• Requires less space in conduit run than rectangular junction box
• May be mounted side-by-side or staggered in multiple conduit runs
• Type W cable support is essentially a modified type R cable support mounted within a pull box fitting
• Lay-In-Lug™ grounding lug can be mounted on pull box end fitting

Type G

• Tin plated copper grounding saddle, stainless steel clamping tension body and screws
• Highly conductive tin-plated copper saddle for use with copper or aluminum conductors
• Connector opening allows easy insertion of grounding conductor for through or end connection
• Low grounding connector profile
• Spring action design maintains positive firm contact on grounding conductor
• These grounding wire connectors are used on the specification insulated grounding bushings
• Grounding lugs not sold separately

O-Z/Gedney dOZseal Sealing Insulating Compound

• dOZseal 220:
• Universal medium-soft asphaltic base compound
• Low softening point and low pouring temperature
• Compound remains plastic at low temperatures and remains viscous at the highest cable operating temperature
• dOZseal 225:
• High ambient medium-hard asphaltic base compound
• Medium-low softening point and low pouring temperature
• Compound remains plastic at medium-low temperatures and remains viscous at the highest cable operating temperature
• dOZseal 230:
• Hard asphaltic base compound
• High softening point and high pouring temperature
• Compound remains plastic at the highest cable operating temperature
• dOZSeal Sealing Insulating Compound
