As a convenience to its valued customers, O-Z/Gedney has made the specifying and ordering of its industry-leading ordinary location cast junction boxes easier than ever before, thanks to a new web-enabled resource available at www.o-zgedney.com.
A virtual tool shop, O-Z/Gedney’s new Electronic Drilling Template (EDT) program lets end-users and distributors instantly develop junction box layouts and drawings to exact configurations, sizes and materials, including conduit entries. EDT actively assists in the layout process by offering maximum conduit sizes, and spacing between the holes and the edge of the box.
Once completed, EDT layouts can be printed out and used for submittals, orders and quotations. Plus, a printable Bill of Material is automatically generated with catalog numbers, quantities and list pricing.
“EDT saves the labor of manually rendering and modifying cast junction box drawings,” notes Jim Tehan, Senior Marketing Manager for O-Z/Gedney. “That directly translates into accelerated time to installation with fewer design errors, as well as maximized cost savings.”
