O-Z/Gedney Watertight Hubs Safely Connect Conduit To Electrical Enclosures

January 17, 2005

O-Z/Gedney Watertight Hubs safely connect rigid conduit or IMC to the threadless openings of a wide range of electrical enclosures that house electrical controls, instruments and other equipment. Engineered for use with indoors or outdoors electrical systems, the hubs have an integral O-ring to provide a long-lasting watertight seal (NEMA 4X) to protect against corrosion, windblown dust and rain, splashing water and hose directed water. Smooth, accurately tapped threads and a fast wrenching profile yield easier insulations. To prevent wire abrasion, the hubs feature an insulated throat that is rated up to 105°C. UL Listed and CSA Certified, the hubs have corrosion-resistant metallic construction to ensure mechanical protection, plus a die cast design that offers clean lines and aesthetic appeal. They are available in trade sizes of 1/2-inch to 4-inches, and in a grounding version. In addition to standard gray, they are also available in a chrome plate finish. O-Z/Gedney Watertight Hubs meet NEC requirements for hazardous locations (Class I, Div. 2; Class II, Div. 1 & 2; Class III), such as chemical and petrochemical plants, refineries, pulp and paper processing plants, and other areas where flammable vapors, gases or combustible dusts are present.
